OPTX Enhances Casino Player Marketing with AI-Driven

OPTX has introduced new AI-powered features aimed at helping casinos automate player marketing and outreach, enhancing personalized engagement without adding to staff workloads.

Casinos today collect extensive player data, identifying which players require attention, which offers perform well, and which games underperform. However, consistently acting on this information at scale remains a significant challenge. OPTX’s latest platform enhancements focus on automating tasks that previously demanded manual input, such as campaign creation, comp issuance, and report generation.

A central addition is OPTX Agents, a feature that enables users to instruct the system to execute specific actions within the platform. This reduces time spent on routine tasks and helps ensure marketing initiatives are implemented promptly. OPTX co-founder Brooke Fiumara noted, We don’t just want AI to tell you what to do, we want to actually help people get it done.”

The platform also expands its Player Journeys capability, allowing players to progress through marketing campaigns based on their individual behavior and lifecycle rather than broad, static segments. This shift aims to deliver more relevant offers and communications tailored to each player’s activity, potentially improving player satisfaction and engagement.

Player development teams face the challenge of managing large books of players, often ranging from 300 to 500 individuals per host. OPTX addresses this by using AI to prioritize which players need attention based on behavioral changes such as declining visits or churn indicators. This prioritization helps hosts focus their limited time on the most impactful contacts. According to OPTX, its Player Development AI has generated over $49 million in incremental revenue across more than 110,000 player visits.

Another feature, Virtual Host, automates routine outreach and reminders, freeing human hosts to concentrate on interactions where personal relationships are crucial. Fiumara acknowledged skepticism about replacing human contact but emphasized that the technology is designed to scale outreach effectively without replacing VIP relationships. “You cannot replace human relationships,” she said, “but can you make the human host more productive in the right ways? Absolutely.”

These developments also include enhanced floor mapping and a Project Center that streamline operational workflows, further reducing the need for manual intervention. By integrating direct mail, email, and text messaging into automated Player Journeys, OPTX ensures campaigns can run end-to-end without requiring staff to manually pull lists or send communications. This full automation can improve campaign consistency and timing.

For players, these improvements mean marketing and communications may become more personalized and timely, potentially enhancing their overall experience. However, increased automation also raises considerations around data use and the importance of maintaining responsible gambling practices. Casinos employing such tools should ensure player protections remain a priority to avoid unintended harm.

These updates arrive as casinos seek to improve operational efficiency while engaging players more meaningfully. More details can be found in the primary CDC Gaming report.
