OPTX has unveiled a new generation of AI-driven tools designed to help casinos act on player data more efficiently, automating marketing campaigns and host outreach to better serve players.
Casinos today collect vast amounts of data on player behavior, offers, and game performance. However, turning these insights into timely actions remains a challenge due to limited staff and time constraints. OPTX aims to bridge this gap by expanding its platform capabilities to automate many manual tasks that previously required human intervention.
One key innovation is the introduction of OPTX Agents, which allow casino staff to instruct the system to build campaigns, issue comps, assign tasks, or run reports through simple commands. This reduces the time and effort needed to execute marketing strategies, helping operators respond faster to player needs.
OPTX is also enhancing its Player Journeys feature, enabling players to move through personalized marketing paths based on their individual behaviors and lifecycle stages. This approach moves away from broad player segments toward tailored experiences, potentially improving the relevance of offers and communications. The system supports multiple channels including direct mail, email, and text messaging, ensuring that automated journeys can be completed without manual steps.
For player development teams, OPTX addresses the challenge of hosts managing large books of players—often 300 to 500 individuals—by prioritizing daily outreach to the 10 players most in need of attention. This prioritization is based on changes in player activity such as reduced visits or unusual patterns, helping hosts focus their limited time on players who may be at risk of disengagement.
Additionally, the Virtual Host feature can handle routine outreach and reminders, freeing human hosts to concentrate on interactions where personal relationships matter most. While human connection remains central to VIP player management, this technology can extend support to a broader player base without sacrificing quality.
Brooke Fiumara, OPTX co-founder and co-CEO, highlighted the operational challenge: “Casinos have access to more data than they ever have, but they don’t have more hours in the day, they don’t have more team members.” She added, “We don’t just want AI to tell you what to do, we want to actually help people get it done.”
For players and bettors, these developments could mean more timely and relevant communications, potentially improving the overall experience while helping operators identify and support players who may show signs of gambling harm. Automation also raises questions about data privacy and the importance of responsible use of AI in player engagement.
Players concerned about how their data is used or who receive increased marketing contact should remain aware of their rights and available responsible gambling tools. Casinos adopting such technologies should ensure transparency and safeguards to protect vulnerable players.
