Great news for professional French poker players and fans alike!
The giant supplier Playtech is partnering up with the French gaming operator PMU (Pari Mutuel Urbain).
This means two things: French players will enjoy new poker platforms and engagement tools provided by Playtech, while PMU will join the iPoker.EU network.
As a poker player myself, I couldn’t skip this news. Eager to see what’s in it for French players and beyond!
Playtech is a well-known provider in the industry, operating one of the largest online poker networks. It connects multiple operators, and now, PMU enters the game.
This isn’t Playtech’s first time on the French poker market. Anyone remember the 2023 partnership with FDJ (La Française des Jeux)? That’s when Playtech delivered its content and services to French players as well but through another operator.
In this collab with PMU, Playtech will supply the new operator with its poker platform gamification services and content, helping PMU join iPoker.EU, the largest online poker network globally.
By the way, the iPoker network from Playtech is a real game-changer. If you’re a fan just like me, you’ve probably heard about the Elite Series Winter Edition by Playtech taking place between 2023 and 2024. So far, the largest event on the network.
In a few words about this new partnership with PMU, Playtech puts its poker platform and player engagement tools at the disposal of French players. But not without Playtech’s renowned poker games and tournaments. It’s a win-win for PMU.
Playtech is quite excited about the new opportunity to extend its poker presence in France, with Playtech VP stating that they “are thrilled to partner with PMU, a leader in the French gaming market.”
On the other side, PMU is no less delighted, claiming this collab to be a strategic decision and a significant step for their growth in the iGaming industry. PMU is thrilled about the chance to offer French players a new and unmatchable poker experience.
After following the poker scene in Europe and analyzing Playtech’s moves for quite some time, it’s safe to say that France is a key market for Playtech. That’s what they state themselves.
“This collaboration continues to highlight our commitment to providing innovative and engaging poker solutions to our licensees’ needs,” claims Playtech representatives.
If there’s one thing that Playtech wants more than anything, it’s sharing their engaging gaming experiences with all players; it seems to me.
As for PMU, they’re sure that this new partnership will allow them to level up their offers, with such innovations as multi-vertical access to poker through Turf and Sports Applications. But the key purpose is to deliver better experiences, if not the best, to potential players, meaning you, my French friends.
It’s clear from the beginning that this collaboration between Playtech and PMU will drive significant growth among
poker players, and you can be one of them.
