North Star Network officially sealed the deal with affiliate Bojoko on 14 February, and the value of such a big-move acquisition will fully depend on NSN’s performance in 2025.
NSN has recently announced the closure of the Bojoko acquisition as it marked its latest step in the casino industry. And we want to know as many details as possible.
As part of the deal, NSN has officially taken charge of all Bojoko assets, including the affiliate’s casino, bingo, and sports betting outlook. The deal? A combo of upfront cash and earnout payments, with a final price tag of 3.0-4.5x of NSN’s 2025 EBITDA. But it depends entirely on how things play out.
Big potential for a start, don’t you think?
“This is a monumental step forward for Bojoko. Since day one, our goal has been to empower players with expert insights and easy tools that allow them to make informed choices,” said Bojoko Co-Founder and CEO Joonas Karhu.
Bojoko team is more than happy about the acquisition, claiming to finally be in a position to improve their solutions, go beyond borders, and bring their first-hand experience in the online gambling sector to new audiences on a worldwide level.
On the other side, NSN is equally thrilled about their latest move. As the Co-Founder and CEO of NSN Julien Josset says: “We are thrilled to welcome Bojoko into the North Star Network. Bojoko has built an excellent reputation in the industry for its user-driven approach, commitment to true quality, and innovative platform.”
If there’s one thing that NSN really wants, it’s to expand its influence in the iGaming sector, and the recent Bojoko acquisition gives it an instant grip on the casino market. They really seem to be very confident about the future of this collab, stating that Bojoko’s casino expertise is unmatchable in the industry.
By the way, for NSN, this isn’t just about the affiliate. It’s a bold step into the gambling space. The recent acquisition news comes shortly after their big play in 2023 when the French giant signed a deal with 7 football clubs from Brazil.
They didn’t stop there! In early 2024, NSN made some pretty serious steps in expanding its sports media portfolio. Guess where!
The acquisition of the UK sports news sites SportsMole.co.uk and MrFixitsTips was clearly on their radar.
By the by, NSN is also the one to have snapped up the Nigerian football blog Soccernet not that long ago, in December 2024.
Back to the main character, that’s what NSN plans for Bojoko in the near future: “Together, we plan to expand Bojoko’s reach internationally, creating even more value for players and partners alike,” as stated by NSN representatives.
It seems to me NSN is up to some serious stuff with all these acquisitions, expanding its influence over various gambling sectors all over the world. Wondering what’s its next big move.
