Boomer’s Sportsbook Expands to Downtown Las Vegas Casinos

Boomers Sportsbook, Nevadas only independent sportsbook, marked its one-year anniversary by expanding into downtown Las Vegas casinos, increasing player access to retail sportsbooks and offering competitive betting options.

Since launching in August 2025, Boomers Sportsbook has grown quickly, now operating in 16 casinos statewide. In July, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved two more locations at Four Queens Hotel & Casino and Binions Gambling Hall & Hotel, pending final approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board. If approved, these will bring Boomers total to 18 sportsbooks just ahead of the 2026 football season.

This expansion means players in downtown Las Vegas will have more physical sportsbook venues to visit, making it easier to register for Boomers mobile app and place bets in person. Boomers focuses on Nevada residents rather than tourists, aiming to provide a lower-cost betting product. For example, NFL wagers are offered at -105 odds instead of the typical -110, potentially delivering better value for bettors. The sportsbook also offers larger payouts on parlays, which could attract players seeking enhanced returns.

Joe Asher, CEO of Boomers Sportsbook, emphasized the importance of increasing retail locations to grow the customer base. Having more locations is critical to that, because you make it that much easier to go sign up, he said. This strategy benefits players who prefer in-person registration and betting, as well as those looking for alternatives to larger corporate sportsbooks.

Beyond Las Vegas, Boomers is pursuing expansion into northern and central Nevada. Three additional casinos are expected to seek regulatory approval this fall, further broadening the sportsbooks statewide footprint. This growth offers local bettors more options and could increase competition within the market.

Asher noted, Theres more to come, so that part of the business has gone really well, signaling ongoing efforts to improve the player experience through customer outreach and product enhancements.

Boomers business model targets local residents, focusing on signing up customers at retail locations. Asher explained, We talk about the B-to-B part of the business, but at the B-to-C level, were working hard to sign up more customers. Most people already have at least one sports betting app, so weve got to make it worth their while to sign up for the Boomers app. Once we get the customer, we keep them and do well, but we have to keep signing people up.

To attract and retain players, Boomers offers a lower-cost product and competitive odds. Asher contrasted this with larger operators, saying, William Hill and Caesars have this big corporate initiative to raise their margins up to 10%, while Boomers maintains more player-friendly pricing.

Players should continue to practice responsible gambling and understand the risks involved in sports betting. While more sportsbook options provide choice, consumers are advised to bet within their means. For more on responsible gambling, visit GamblingNews.today Responsible Gambling.
